Dr. med. Christian Kessler has been working in the Department of Complementary and Integrative Medicine at the Immanuel Hospital Berlin since 2009. Being a specialist for Internal Medicine and one of the senior physicians at the institute, he is currently working as research and project coordinator.
Dr. Kessler´s research activities at Immanuel Hospital Berlin are part of the Chair for Clinical CAM at the Institute for Social Medicine, Epidemiology and Health Economics, Charité University Medical Center, Berlin. He is an expert in Traditional Indian Medicine (Ayurveda) and a master of Indology(M.A.).
Biography
Dr. Kessler likes to work with Ayurveda, because this ancient healing system can go far beyond the treatment of simple diagnoses by providing startegies for all levels of existence including patient self-empowerment and self-effectiveness. Thereby, the age-old Ayurveda is surpisingly modern, looking at current prevention debates in Western health care systems.
